Work

Client work. Built for how studios run.

Software I’ve built for studios. Each one started as a spreadsheet and a group chat.

A video editing studio

Before

Jobs, editors, revisions and billing spread across spreadsheets, chat threads and memory. Packages and extra videos were reconciled by hand at the end of every month.

What got built

A complete internal system — a staged pipeline that only allows sensible moves, editor and freelancer access scoped to their own work, revision rounds logged with versions, a calendar that reaches everyone’s phone, and monthly billing that handles packages, rollover, overage and client credit across currencies.

What changed

Work moves through stages without anyone renaming columns. Editors see only their own jobs. Reminders, overdue chasing and invoice drafts happen on schedule instead of from memory. Month-end billing comes from what was actually delivered.

Worth fifteen minutes?

Tell me how your studio tracks projects today. If software isn’t the answer, I’ll say so on the call — that happens often enough to be worth mentioning.
